Many Old Testament leaders were given the anointing to carry out their task given by God. Moses saw a burning bush in the desert and learnt how God can transform the ordinary by the fire of his Spirit (Exodus 3:1-12). At a time of political turmoil and moral collapse, Isaiah had a vision of the Lord on the throne and realized that God was in control of the history (Isaiah 6). God spoke to Jeremiah through an almond tree and a cooking pot giving him a vision of the power of his word in a day of disaster (Jeremiah 1).

Both Moses and Jeremiah lacked self-confidence and complained that they did not have the gift of communication. They needed a vision of God's power and of His willingness and ability to equip His leaders. These two great men of God received God's power, their vision turned into reality which enabled them to create history. These biblical incidents and examples inspired Raja Faith Ministries to have a vision apart from addressing the stark realities of utter poverty, miserable conditions of the poor, specially the youth and the oppressive and exploitive structures of the society.

Moses was well aware of the plight of Israel in Egypt and it is clear from the early chapters of Isaiah that the Prophet was aware of the social and religious needs of the nation. Nehemiah was drawn towards earnest prayer and action as soon as he received news of the disaster at Jerusalem.

Christian community, theologically speaking, is the Body of Christ and its life is the Continuation of the Ministry of Jesus Christ, from this Raja Faith Ministries drew its inspiration to the nature of the Community's task today. The keynote is 'Service': "The Son of Man came not to be ministered unto but to minister and to give His life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45) and "he that is greatest among you shall be your servant" (Matt 23:11 ).

Raja Faith Ministries envisages making an in-depth study of the Bible for inspiration and prayerfully seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit to translate its ideas into viable programmes. At the same time it intends to keep updating itself on the changing trends in society in general and locality in particular in order to cater to the needs of the weaker Sections of the society.
